举办第五届中国国际丝绸博览会，借鉴前四届成功举办之经验，仍然以服装设计与丝绸文化为切入点，大量引进国内外时装设计人才和高级时装及丝绸面料信息。努力确立中国丝绸的国际地位和以杭州地区为中心的丝绸研发中心、贸易中心和丝绸展览中心的地位。使中国丝绸大国逐步转变为世界丝绸强国。因此，通过国内外丝绸企业和专业人士参展、参会，促进行业交流，是我国快速发展丝绸产业和培育国际性丝绸博览会的一条捷径。
    经过主、承办单位的几年努力，中国国际丝绸博览会已成为国际丝绸行业新产品发布、品牌推广、贸易洽谈、科技论坛的一个重要场所，成为国际著名的专业极强的一流的丝绸博览会。通过中国国际丝绸博览会的发展，推动国内外丝绸领域的交流，对提高中国丝绸的档次，扩大丝绸出口创汇额有着极其重要的现实意义，并使中国丝绸焕发更加灿烂的风采。

    With the previous three fairs`experiences of successful ，the fifth China International Fair still takes silk design as breakthrough point，and introduce domestic and international fashion designers with ability and lager amount of information on top fashion and silk shell fabric．We make effort to enhance the position of China Sink and make Hangzhou a Silk Center of R&D,Trade and Exposition.For developing Chinese silk industry,National Callus Silk Coordination Office,Chinese Silk Association decide to co-host the fair adn organize domestic and international silk companies to participate in the exhibition and exchange each ohter. Tt is the target to help international silk indedustry to develop.
With efforts made by sponsors and organizer for several years,China International Silk Fair has become an important place for new product presentation,brand popularization,trade negotiation and forum on science and technology for international silk enterprises.It has become a renowed top-ranking international fair in silk industry.Development of the fair facilitates domestic and international exchange in silk field.It is of great significance to improve Chinese silk quality and expand silk export.Chinese silk will radiate magnificent elegance in the future.
